When the lighting control switch of the Kia EV6 is placed in the parking light position, the taillights, license plate lights, position lamps, and instrument panel illumination automatically turn ON.
This lighting mode improves vehicle visibility during nighttime parking, low-light driving conditions, or situations where full headlamp illumination is not required.
The Kia EV6 lighting system is designed to provide clear exterior visibility while also enhancing the modern appearance of the vehicle.
Headlamp (Low beam)
|
When the Kia EV6 light switch is moved to the headlamp (Low beam) position, the low beam headlights, taillights, and license plate lights automatically turn ON.
The low beam lighting mode provides improved nighttime road illumination while reducing glare for oncoming traffic.
NOTE
The EV button of the Kia EV6 must be in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position for the headlights to operate normally.
AUTO light
|
When the light switch is placed in the AUTO position, the Kia EV6 automatically turns the headlights and taillights ON or OFF depending on surrounding brightness and driving conditions.
The Kia EV6 automatic lighting system uses a light sensor to detect ambient lighting conditions and provide convenient headlamp operation without requiring manual control.
When the windshield wipers are activated while the light switch remains in the AUTO position, the Kia EV6 headlights automatically turn on approximately 5 seconds later.
If the headlights were activated automatically because of windshield wiper operation, they turn off approximately 60 seconds after the wipers stop operating.
The Kia EV6 AUTO lighting system improves convenience and helps maintain better visibility during rain, cloudy weather, tunnels, or changing light conditions.
CAUTION
Do not place objects or accessories over the light sensor located on the Kia EV6 instrument panel. Doing so may interfere with proper AUTO light system operation.
Do not clean the sensor area using window cleaner or chemical solvents. Residue left on the sensor surface may negatively affect sensor performance.
If the Kia EV6 windshield has dark tint film or metallic coatings applied, the AUTO light system may not operate correctly.

To activate the Kia EV6 high beam headlights:
Push the lighting control lever away from you.
The lever automatically returns to its original position after activation.
The high beam indicator light on the Kia EV6 instrument cluster illuminates whenever the high beams are active.
To help prevent unnecessary battery discharge, avoid leaving the Kia EV6 headlights on for extended periods while the vehicle is turned off.
WARNING
High Beams
Do not use the Kia EV6 high beam headlights when other vehicles are directly ahead or approaching from the opposite direction, as excessive glare may reduce the visibility of other drivers and increase the risk of an accident.
To flash the headlights:
Pull the lighting control lever toward you.
|
The lever automatically returns to the normal position when released.
The Kia EV6 headlight switch does not need to be turned on in order to use the flash-to-pass function.
|
The EV button must be in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position for the Kia EV6 turn signal system to operate.
To activate the turn signals:
Move the turn signal lever upward or downward (2).
The green directional arrow indicators on the Kia EV6 instrument cluster display which turn signal is operating.
The turn signals automatically cancel after completing a turn. If the indicator continues blinking afterward, manually return the lever to the OFF position.
To indicate a lane change:
Move the turn signal lever slightly and hold it in position (1).
The lever automatically returns to the OFF position after being released.
If a Kia EV6 turn signal indicator remains illuminated without blinking or flashes abnormally fast, one of the exterior turn signal bulbs may require replacement or inspection.
To activate the Kia EV6 one-touch lane change feature, slightly move the turn signal lever and then release it.
The lane change signal lamps automatically blink 3, 5, or 7 times depending on the selected setting.
You can activate or deactivate the One Touch Turn Signal function and select the preferred blinking count (3, 5, or 7) by selecting Vehicle > Lights > One Touch Turn Signal.
The Kia EV6 one-touch lane change system improves convenience during highway driving and lane-change maneuvers.
NOTE
If the Kia EV6 turn signal indicator flashes unusually fast or slow, a bulb may be damaged or an electrical connection problem may exist within the lighting circuit.

High Beam Assist (HBA) is an intelligent Kia EV6 lighting function that automatically adjusts headlamp range by switching between high beam and low beam operation according to surrounding traffic conditions and ambient brightness.
The Kia EV6 HBA system helps improve nighttime visibility while reducing glare for other drivers.
