Non-operating conditions
The Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system turns OFF under one of the following conditions:
When the turn signal is switched OFF.
When the Kia EV6 hazard warning flashers are activated.
When another important warning message or system notification is displayed on the instrument cluster.
When the Kia EV6 camera system becomes temporarily unavailable because of weather or visibility conditions.
If the Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system does not operate correctly, if the instrument cluster display flickers, or if the camera image is distorted, delayed, frozen, or not displayed normally, have the Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
The Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system relies on side-mounted cameras, image processing modules, and the instrument cluster display to provide real-time blind spot visibility while changing lanes.
If any part of the Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system experiences abnormal operation, image quality may temporarily decrease or the feature may stop functioning until serviced.

The Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system may display objects at a different distance than they actually appear because of the correction and wide-angle characteristics of the side-view camera images.
Always directly check surrounding traffic conditions and blind spot areas before changing lanes.
If the Kia EV6 camera lens is covered with snow, rain, dirt, mud, water spots, or other foreign material, Blind-Spot View Monitor may not operate normally.
Always keep the Kia EV6 camera lenses clean for optimal image quality and safe operation.
Do not use chemical solvents or aggressive cleaning agents such as strong alkaline detergents, gasoline, acetone, or volatile organic solvents.
These substances may damage the Kia EV6 camera lens coating or surrounding components.
Never rely solely on the Kia EV6 Blind-Spot View Monitor system when changing lanes.
The driver remains fully responsible for safe vehicle operation at all times.

On Kia EV6 models equipped with a smart key system, the Smart Liftgate with AUTO Open function allows convenient hands-free access to the cargo area without physically touching the liftgate. The Kia EV6 smart liftgate can automatically open without pressing any button under the following conditions: Approximately 15 seconds have passed after all doors were fully closed and locked.To enable the Kia EV6 Smart Liftgate with Auto Open feature, navigate to Setup > Vehicle > Door > Smart Liftgate with Auto Open within the infotainment system settings menu. 2. Detect and Alert If you stand within the detection zone located approximately 20–40 inches (50–100 cm) behind the Kia EV6 while carrying the smart key, the hazard warning lights will flash and a warning chime will sound.
