  3. Lane Safety

While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Safety on the infotainment system screen to adjust the Lane Safety settings.

  • Lane Safety: When the Kia EV6 detects unintended lane departure, the system can provide steering assistance to help prevent the vehicle from leaving the lane. If lane departure occurs, the system also alerts the driver using audible warnings and visual indicators.

If Lane Safety is deselected, the indicator light (Kia EV6 Lane Keeping Assist indicator light) will turn OFF.

The Kia EV6 Lane Keeping Assist settings can be customized according to driver preferences and road conditions for a more comfortable driving experience.

WARNING

  • The Kia EV6 Lane Keeping Assist system does not continuously control the steering wheel while the vehicle is properly centered within the lane.

  • The driver must always remain attentive to surrounding traffic conditions and maintain control of the Kia EV6 steering wheel at all times.

  • If Lane Safety is deselected or disabled, the driver is solely responsible for maintaining proper lane positioning.

CAUTION

When using a genuine Kia Trailer Kit and the trailer connector is connected to the Kia EV6, Lane Keeping Assist automatically turns OFF.

In this condition, the Kia EV6 cannot provide Lane Keeping Assist support, so additional driver attention is required while towing.

A genuine Kia Trailer Kit allows the Kia EV6 to recognize when a trailer is connected.

NOTE

Pressing and holding the Lane Driving Assist button (Kia EV6 Lane Driving Assist steering wheel button) will turn OFF Lane Keeping Assist and deactivate the Lane Safety function.

  • Lane Safety Warning Sound: Allows the driver to disable Lane Safety audible warnings even when both Warning Volume and Haptic Warning remain enabled.

  • Driving Safety Priority: Automatically lowers the volume of other audio sources whenever the Kia EV6 Driving Safety systems generate warning notifications.

The Kia EV6 customizable warning settings help drivers personalize alert intensity and improve overall driving comfort.

TIP

  • Your selected Kia EV6 Warning Methods settings may also apply to other driver assistance systems installed in the vehicle.

  • The Warning Methods settings are typically saved even after the Kia EV6 is turned OFF and restarted.

  • The Lane Safety Warning Sound option becomes available only when both Warning Volume and Haptic Warning are enabled.

  • The Warning Methods settings menu may vary depending on Kia EV6 trim level, regional specifications, or installed equipment.
