The hazard warning lights are intended to warn approaching drivers to use extreme caution when approaching, overtaking, or passing a disabled Kia EV6.

If the Vehicle Stalls While Driving

  1. Gradually reduce speed while maintaining a straight and controlled driving path.

  2. Carefully move the Kia EV6 away from traffic and into a safe location whenever possible.

  3. Switch the hazard warning lights ON immediately.

  4. Attempt to restart the Kia EV6. If the vehicle does not restart, contact an authorized Kia dealer, roadside assistance provider, or another qualified service organization.

If You Have a Flat Tire While Driving

  • Remove your foot from the accelerator pedal and allow the Kia EV6 to slow down naturally while maintaining a straight course.

    WARNING

Do not immediately apply the brakes or attempt an abrupt lane change. Sudden steering or braking inputs could result in loss of vehicle control.

  • Use the left-side paddle shifter to increase regenerative braking and help reduce vehicle speed in a controlled manner.

    WARNING

Do not attempt to leave the roadway suddenly. Abrupt maneuvers may cause the Kia EV6 to become unstable and increase the risk of an accident.

  • Once vehicle speed has been reduced to a safe level, apply the brakes carefully and guide the Kia EV6 toward a secure stopping area.

  • Move as far away from traffic as possible and park the Kia EV6 on firm, level ground whenever conditions allow.

    WARNING

If driving on a divided highway, never stop the Kia EV6 in the center median area between traffic lanes.

  • After stopping, activate the hazard warning lights, shift into P (Park), apply the parking brake, and place the EV button in the OFF position.

  • Ask all passengers to exit the Kia EV6 carefully from the side facing away from moving traffic.

  • Follow the additional tire-related emergency procedures described later in the Kia EV6 owner's manual.
