WARNING

The Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system automatically activates whenever the vehicle is started.

If you manually deactivate Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist through the settings menu, the system will no longer provide automatic assistance during potential collision situations.

Always operate the Kia EV6 carefully and remain attentive to surrounding traffic conditions.

CAUTION

  • The Forward Safety settings on the Kia EV6 include the Basic Function, Junction Turning Function, and Direct Oncoming Function.

Forward Cross-Traffic Safety includes the Junction Crossing Function, while Forward/Side Safety includes the Lane Change Oncoming Function, Lane Change Side Function, and Evasive Steering Assist Function.: (if equipped)

  • If Forward Safety is turned OFF, the Junction Crossing Function will not operate even if Forward Cross-Traffic Safety or Forward/Side Safety remains selected. (if equipped)

  • When a trailer connector is plugged into the Kia EV6, the Forward/Side Safety function of the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system automatically deactivates.

In this situation, the Kia EV6 cannot provide assistance from the Forward/Side Safety function, so additional driver caution is required while towing.

This automatic trailer detection function operates only when using a genuine Kia trailer kit capable of identifying trailer connection status.

  • If Late is selected, the Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system will provide warnings later than under the Standard setting.

CAUTION

  • Even when Standard Warning Timing is selected, the warning may still appear delayed if the vehicle ahead stops suddenly or unexpectedly.

  • Selecting Late Warning Timing may be more suitable during light traffic conditions or lower-speed urban driving situations.

TIP

  • The Kia EV6 Forward/Side Safety settings do not provide a separate Warning Timing adjustment option.

  • The selected Warning Timing settings remain stored even after the Kia EV6 is turned off and restarted.

  • The Warning Timing menu availability may vary depending on Kia EV6 trim level, regional specification, or installed equipment.
