When the Kia EV6 external fresh air mode is selected, outside air enters the cabin and is heated or cooled according to the selected climate settings. The indicator light switches OFF in this mode.
Recirculated air intake
|
In recirculation mode, air from inside the Kia EV6 cabin is drawn through the climate control system and heated or cooled according to the selected settings.
Extended use of the Kia EV6 heater in recirculation mode without air conditioning may cause the windshield and side windows to fog.
Additionally, prolonged use of recirculation mode with air conditioning activated may create excessively dry cabin air.
NOTE
For optimal Kia EV6 cabin comfort and air quality, operating the system primarily in Fresh Air mode is recommended.
Use Recirculation mode only temporarily when necessary, such as while driving through dusty environments, tunnels, or areas with strong odors.
Extended operation in Recirculation mode without the air conditioning system activated may increase windshield fogging. Prolonged use with the air conditioning system ON may also create excessively dry cabin air and promote stale odors because of reduced fresh air circulation.
The Kia EV6 fan speed can be adjusted manually to the preferred airflow level using the fan speed control switch.
To change the Kia EV6 blower speed:
Press the right-side button to increase fan speed or press the left-side button to decrease fan speed.

Press the Kia EV6 A/C button to activate the air conditioning system. When the system is operating, the indicator light illuminates.
To switch the Kia EV6 air conditioning system OFF, press the A/C button again.
WARNING
Reduced Visibility
Continuous operation of the Kia EV6 climate control system in recirculation mode may increase humidity inside the cabin. This can cause the windshield and side windows to fog, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of accidents.
WARNING
Recirculated Air
Extended use of the Kia EV6 recirculated air mode may lead to drowsiness, fatigue, or reduced driver alertness because fresh outside air is limited. Whenever possible, use the external fresh air intake position while driving.
WARNING
Sleeping with A/C on
Never sleep inside the Kia EV6 with the heating or air conditioning system operating for extended periods. Reduced oxygen levels or excessive temperature changes inside the cabin may result in serious injury or death.
NOTE
Operating the Kia EV6 climate blower while the EV button is in the OFF position may discharge the auxiliary battery. Always operate the ventilation fan while the vehicle is running or in READY mode.

Press the DRIVER ONLY button and the indicator light illuminates. In this mode, cool air is primarily directed toward the driver’s seating position to improve energy efficiency in the Kia EV6.
A small amount of air may still flow through other cabin vents to maintain comfortable interior air circulation for passengers.

Press the Kia EV6 driver’s temperature control knob to switch OFF the front climate control system.
Even after the front climate control system is turned OFF, the mode selection and air intake buttons remain operational if the EV button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
