The Kia EV6 is equipped with a rear window defroster system designed to remove frost, fog, and condensation from the rear glass surface.

To prevent damage to the electrical conductors attached to the inside surface of the Kia EV6 rear window, never clean the glass using sharp tools, abrasive materials, or aggressive chemical cleaners.
If front windshield defrosting or defogging is required, refer to the Kia EV6 Windshield Defrosting and Defogging section.
The Kia EV6 rear window defroster heats the rear glass to remove frost, condensation, fog, and thin layers of ice while the vehicle is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
If a large amount of snow or ice has accumulated on the Kia EV6 rear window, carefully remove it with a soft brush before activating the rear defroster system.

To switch the Kia EV6 rear window defroster ON:
Press the rear window defroster button located on the center fascia climate control panel.
The Kia EV6 rear defroster indicator illuminates while the system is operating.
The rear window defroster automatically switches OFF after approximately 20 minutes or whenever the EV button is turned OFF.
To turn the Kia EV6 rear window defroster OFF manually:
Press the rear window defroster button once again.
If equipped, the Kia EV6 outside rearview mirror defrosters operate simultaneously with the rear window defroster system to help remove frost and condensation from the mirror surfaces.
