Always make sure the Kia EV6 is turned OFF, the rotary shifter dial is in the P (Park) position, and the parking brake is fully applied before loading or unloading cargo.

Failure to follow these precautions could allow the Kia EV6 to move unexpectedly if the shifter dial is accidentally moved out of Park.

The Kia EV6 headrests are designed not only to improve seating comfort but also to help reduce the risk of neck injuries during rear-end collisions.

For maximum effectiveness during an accident, the center of the Kia EV6 headrest should be adjusted to approximately the same height as the occupant’s head center of gravity.

For most people, the center of gravity of the head is positioned near eye level.

The Kia EV6 headrest should also be positioned as close to the occupant’s head as possible for improved support and protection.

For this reason, the use of cushions or accessories that move the body away from the Kia EV6 seatback is not recommended.

WARNING

Headrest Removal/Adjustment

  • Do not operate the Kia EV6 with the headrests removed.

    Headrests provide important support for the head and neck during collisions and may significantly reduce injury risk.

  • Do not adjust the Kia EV6 headrest height while driving.

    Sudden movement or distraction could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

CAUTION

Excessive pulling or pushing force may damage the Kia EV6 headrest adjustment mechanism or surrounding seat components.

  • To raise the Kia EV6 headrest, pull the headrest upward until it reaches the desired position (1).

  • To lower the Kia EV6 headrest, press and hold the release button (2) located on the headrest support.

  • Lower the Kia EV6 headrest carefully to the preferred height position (3).

Correct headrest adjustment in the Kia EV6 helps improve occupant comfort and provides additional protection for the head and neck during sudden stops or collisions.

With the Kia EV6 powered on, firmly press the brake pedal and shift the transmission into D (Drive) or N (Neutral). Press and hold the Parking/View button () to activate Remote Smart Parking Assist. NOTE You must select Agree on the infotainment display, and the infotainment system must be operating normally before the Kia EV6 Parking function can be used.
