Kia EV6: Maintenance / Washer Fluid

Contents:

Washer fluid is used whenever the windshield wipers clean the windshield of the Kia EV6. Maintaining an adequate supply of washer fluid helps ensure clear visibility in rain, snow, dust, mud, and other driving conditions.

Inspect the washer fluid level regularly and refill the reservoir whenever necessary to ensure uninterrupted operation of the windshield cleaning system.

Checking the Washer Fluid Level

Kia EV6 windshield washer fluid reservoir level inspection

The washer fluid reservoir on the Kia EV6 is manufactured from translucent material, allowing the fluid level to be checked quickly through visual inspection.

  • Check the washer fluid level regularly and refill as necessary. If dedicated washer fluid is unavailable, clean water may be used temporarily. In cold climates, however, a washer fluid containing antifreeze protection should always be used to help prevent freezing.

WARNING

Flammable Fluid

Do not expose windshield washer fluid to open flames, sparks, cigarettes, or other ignition sources. Under certain conditions, washer fluid may be flammable and could cause a fire.

WARNING

Coolant

  • Never use radiator coolant or engine antifreeze inside the windshield washer reservoir of the Kia EV6.

  • Coolant sprayed onto the windshield may severely reduce visibility and increase the risk of losing vehicle control.

WARNING

Windshield Fluid

Do not drink windshield washer fluid. Washer fluid is poisonous and may cause serious injury or death if swallowed by humans or animals.
