Kia EV6: Driver assistance system / Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

Contents:

Basic function

Kia EV6 Smart Cruise Control detects a vehicle ahead and helps maintain both the selected driving speed and a safe following distance from the vehicle in front.

This system is designed to support more comfortable highway driving, long-distance travel, and smoother speed management in traffic.

Overtaking Acceleration Assist function

When Kia EV6 Smart Cruise Control determines that the driver is attempting to overtake a vehicle ahead, the function may help provide acceleration support.

This assistance helps the Kia EV6 respond more naturally during passing maneuvers while Smart Cruise Control is active.

Based on Driving Style function: (if equipped)

Kia EV6 Smart Cruise Control can operate according to the driver’s learned driving style by considering vehicle-to-vehicle distance, acceleration behavior, and response speed.

This function helps the system feel more familiar and consistent with the driver’s normal habits during cruise control operation.

NOTE

Emergency Stop may activate while Smart Cruise Control is operating. Make sure you fully understand the Emergency Stop (ES) function and its operating conditions.
