Kia K4: Windows / Power window lock button

The primary driver can instantly disable the localized power window switches located on the rear passengers’ doors by engaging the master safety toggle switch. Pressing the power window lock button down into its locked position (fully depressed) intercepts the signal path to prevent rear cabin occupants from manipulating the glass regulators of your Kia K4.

When the dedicated power window lock button is actively pressed and engaged:

• Driver Master Control Override: The main power window lock switch on the driver’s panel remains fully operational and can still actuate and regulate all individual passengers’ power windows at will.

• Front Passenger Autonomy: The front co-driver passenger’s control switch retains its electrical signal path and can continue to operate its own designated power window independently.

• Rear Cabin Isolation: The rear passengers’ individual door controls are completely cut off from the electrical relay circuit and cannot operate or adjust the rear passengers’ power windows inside your Kia K4.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND OVERLOAD PROTECTION NOTES:

• Fuse and Relay Longevity: To prevent potential voltage drops, thermal overload, or premature damage to the power window system motors, avoid operating two or more individual windows at the exact same time. Adhering to this practice minimizes peak current draw and ensures the long-term longevity of the main electrical fuse and relays.

• Conflicting Input Safeguard: Never attempt to operate the main master switch assembly on the driver’s door panel and an individual door window switch in opposite directions simultaneously. When conflicting inputs are registered by the electrical network, the window glass will immediately stop in place and cannot be opened or closed until one of the switches is released on your Kia K4.

CRITICAL OCCUPANT SAFETY AND CHILD LOCK WARNINGS:

• Key Fob Management: NEVER leave the smart keys or proximity fobs inside your vehicle when exiting, especially if unsupervised children or minors remain inside the cabin.

It is highly recommended to keep the driver’s door power window lock isolation button continuously in the active LOCK position (fully pressed down). Remote window opening:

For enhanced cabin ventilation prior to entry, you can still control the global window movement via radio frequency signals even with the engine turned completely OFF and the ignition system deactivated.

To operate this convenience system, press and hold the dedicated Door Unlock button (1) on your smart key fob for more than 3 seconds. The side window glass panels will begin to roll down immediately after the central locking system unlatches the doors. The automatic regulator motors will continue to lower the glass as long as you maintain constant pressure on the door unlock button (1). The global window movement halts instantly the moment you release the door unlock button (1) from your remote transmitter, allowing you to set a custom opening gap for your Kia K4.

Please note that the remote window opening feature requires your vehicle configuration to be factory-equipped with the full automatic express power window down function across all passenger and driver seats.

CRITICAL CABIN VULNERABILITY AND SECURITY WARNINGS:

If you leave the vehicle unattended or walk away out of sight after operating the remote window opening function, the open cabin architecture invites an immediate risk of vehicle theft, unauthorized entry, or loss of personal property. In addition, please exercise extreme caution regarding changing weather patterns; leaving the side glass panels down can result in a severe interior system malfunction or electrical component shorts due to the high-volume inflow of water while it rains on your Kia K4.

EXPERT SMART KEY RANGE AND FORCE MITIGATION NOTES:

• Signal Perimeter Bounds: The telemetry communication between the key fob and the vehicle body control module is range-limited.
