Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator light

The ESC system is a critical safety feature of your Kia K4. This indicator light operates as follows:

  • It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds as a system self-diagnostic check whenever you turn the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON position.

  • If the light remains illuminated, it indicates a malfunction in the ESC system. In this situation, have your Kia K4 inspected promptly by an authorized Kia dealer to ensure your safety systems are fully functional.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF indicator light

This light provides feedback on the active status of your stability systems:

  • It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds upon turning the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON position.

  • It will remain lit whenever you have manually deactivated the ESC system by pressing the dedicated ESC OFF button.

AUTO HOLD indicator light

The Auto Hold system enhances convenience in your Kia K4, and its status is displayed as follows:

  • White: The system is in standby mode after you have pressed the AUTO HOLD button.

  • Green: The system is actively holding the vehicle stationary after you have come to a complete stop by engaging the brake pedal.

Immobilizer indicator light (without smart key)

  • This light illuminates when the Kia K4 ignition is ON and the system successfully detects your key's transponder. The light will automatically turn off once the engine has been successfully started.

  • If the light blinks, it indicates a malfunction within the immobilizer system. If this occurs, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer, as you may be unable to start the engine.

Immobilizer indicator light (with smart key)

This indicator provides status updates for the smart key system in your Kia K4:

  • The light appears for up to 30 seconds when the vehicle detects the authorized smart key inside the cabin while the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ACC or ON position. It will disappear once the engine is running.

  • If the light blinks for a few seconds, it means the smart key is not detected within the Kia K4, and the engine will not start.

  • If the light appears for 2 seconds and then disappears while the ENGINE START/STOP button is ON, but the vehicle fails to detect the smart key, please have your Kia K4 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

  • If the light blinks continuously, it signals an immobilizer system fault requiring immediate professional attention.

  • This light will blink when your Kia K4 smart key battery is critically low. In this condition, you will not be able to start the engine using the standard method; you must press the ENGINE START/STOP button directly with the smart key body to start your Kia K4.   • If the light blinks due to an internal system malfunction, have your Kia K4 inspected immediately by an authorized Kia dealer.

Turn signal indicator light

This indicator light blinks in sequence with your exterior turn signals when activated. If you notice any of the following irregularities, the turn signal system in your Kia K4 may be experiencing a mechanical or electrical fault and should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer:

  • The indicator light illuminates steadily but fails to blink.

  • The indicator light blinks at a significantly faster rate than normal (often signaling a burnt-out bulb).

  • The indicator light fails to illuminate entirely when the stalk is engaged.

Low beam indicator light

This indicator light provides visual confirmation that the low-beam headlights of your Kia K4 are currently switched ON, ensuring visibility for you and oncoming drivers.

High beam indicator light
