How to link user profileOpen the infotainment settings menu and select Setup > User profile > Profile setting > Link Digital Key (Smartphone) to begin the Kia EV6 profile linking process.
After selecting Link, the digital key associated with the registered smartphone number and its [Group] will connect to the chosen user profile. Continue following the instructions displayed on the infotainment screen.
Once the connection process finishes successfully, the message Digital Key Link Complete. will appear on the Kia EV6 infotainment display.
Press the Link button again if necessary and select the preferred smartphone from the displayed list of registered devices. Complete the linking process according to the on-screen guidance.
When setup is finalized, the infotainment system will confirm completion with the message Digital Key Link Complete.
Select Setup > User Profile > Profile Setting > Link Digital Key (Smartphone) from the Kia EV6 infotainment system. Then remove the linked smartphone from the User Profile settings menu. Unlinking is available only when a digital key has already been connected to a user profile.
When the unlinking process is completed successfully, the infotainment system will display the message Digital key is unlinked.
The Kia EV6 Digital Key 2 personalization system is especially convenient for households with multiple drivers because it can automatically switch user environments based on the detected smartphone profile.
TIP
A single smartphone cannot remain linked to multiple driver profiles simultaneously, such as Driver 1 and Driver 2. The Kia EV6 will always prioritize the most recently connected profile and automatically remove previous associations.
The user profile can only be linked when the Digital Key 2 has already been properly registered both on the smartphone and inside the Kia EV6 vehicle system. The smartphone cannot be paired with another vehicle’s digital key at the same time.
The NFC card key version of Kia Digital Key 2 does not support personalized profile linking.
If the user profile linked to the smartphone digital key is removed, you must register and personalize the Kia EV6 Digital Key 2 again by reconnecting the desired profile.
The infotainment system interface and menu layout may vary after future software updates. For the latest functionality and menu locations, consult the infotainment manual and quick reference guide supplied with your Kia EV6.
Vehicle personalization operation
The personalization features connected to Kia EV6 Digital Key 2 operate automatically under the following conditions:

The Kia EV6 personalization system becomes available only after the smartphone digital key has been linked through the infotainment profile settings menu.
The personalization function works when the vehicle is switched off or remotely started. If the Kia EV6 has not been remotely started, profile personalization may not activate through the digital key alone.
