Solution

The high temperature icon (Kia EV6 digital mirror high temperature warning icon) appears on the right side of the display.

The Digital Center Mirror system has become excessively hot. Under these conditions, the display may gradually dim automatically. If temperature continues increasing, the Kia EV6 Digital Center Mirror may temporarily shut off to protect internal components.

Reduce the cabin temperature to help cool the mirror system. The warning icon should disappear once the mirror temperature returns to a normal operating range.

If the warning icon remains visible even after cooling, have the Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

The display changes to the system error icon.

The Digital Center Mirror system has detected a malfunction or internal operating error.

Switch the mirror to optical mirror mode immediately and have the Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

The Digital Center Mirror system in the Kia EV6 combines modern camera technology with advanced driver convenience features to improve visibility and driving confidence in various road conditions.

Outside rearview mirror

The Kia EV6 is equipped with exterior rearview mirrors on both the left and right sides of the vehicle to provide improved visibility of surrounding traffic and nearby objects.

Always adjust the outside rearview mirrors before driving to ensure the clearest possible rearward visibility and safer lane changes.

The outside mirrors of the Kia EV6 can be adjusted remotely using the mirror control switch inside the vehicle. In addition, the mirror housings can automatically fold inward to help prevent damage when entering narrow streets, tight parking spaces, or automatic car washes.

The aerodynamic design of the Kia EV6 outside mirrors also helps reduce wind noise while improving overall driving comfort and visibility.

NOTE

Rear View Mirrors

  • The passenger-side outside rearview mirror is convex. Objects viewed in the mirror may appear farther away than they actually are.

  • Always use the inside rearview mirror and direct visual observation to accurately judge the distance of surrounding vehicles when changing lanes or maneuvering the Kia EV6.

CAUTION

Rear View Mirrors

  • Do not scrape ice directly from the mirror glass surface, as this may damage the mirror coating or glass.

  • If ice restricts mirror movement, do not force the mirror during adjustment. Use an approved de-icing spray or warm water with a soft cloth or sponge to safely remove the ice.

If the outside mirror mechanism becomes frozen due to ice buildup, do not attempt to adjust the mirror forcibly. Use a suitable spray de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) or move the Kia EV6 to a warmer location until the ice naturally melts.
